Speak Out Against Contaminated Skin Care Products: Opt for Natural Skin Care for Babies & Children

A recent independent study commissioned by the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics found that several top-selling bath and skin products are contaminated by the cancer-causing chemicals formaldehyde and 1,4-dioxane. Name brand baby shampoo's, body wash, bubble bath, and baby lotions were found to be contaminated with these chemicals.

So what is a parent to do?

• We could start by educating ourselves concerning the ingredients that are listed on all skin care product labels. Whether you choose to use store brand or natural skin care products, you should familiarize yourself with the ingredients.
